#innovation: Microsoft’s Digital Marketing Center Enables SMBs to Manage Their Multi-Platform Campaigns From a Central Place
In a very interesting move, Microsoft is carrying out a pilot program that will see SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses) manage all their digital campaigns from a central place, for free.
SMBs will be able to manage anything from organic to paid search and social media campaigns from the various platforms including Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram; via Microsoft’s Digital Marketing Center.
All you need to do is log into your platform and build your ad; publish posts on social media platforms; engage users by liking, commenting or sending direct messages; and more!
You can also see how each platform is doing in terms of audience, engagement, and impressions. Even better, it’s free. Want to learn more about this latest Microsoft Garage project?
#innovation: 4 New Google Ads Innovations to Help Grow Your Business
Three things guarantee you a sale—giving your customers the information they are looking for, helping them get the products they want, and making it easy for them to take action. Google recently came up with innovations to help you do all of that.
On June 24th, Google announced four new and updated ad tools to help businesses grow. These include; test my site tool, feeds in app campaigns/deep linking, deep linking expansion, and ad destination report. Learn what these features are about and how you can use them to get ahead in business:
#contentmarketing: New Google “How-to” Schema Results to Include Images
Since early April this year, Google has been changing the way “how-to” results appear in its desktop. In a move to create more rich results, Google started by including small arrows on the results page that outline some of the steps included in an article.
Toward the end of May, the ‘how-to’ schema showed some new developments which included a horizontal list of materials required in a particular ‘how-to’ task.
This month again, Google has resurfaced with image-rich ‘how-to’ schema. Looks like you are going to have to make some changes to your ‘how-to’ content to benefit from these developments. Check out how the new ‘how-to’ schema will look like on your desktop:

#digitalmarketing: You Will Soon Get to Get Combined Reports for Your Google Search Console and Analytics Data
If you are a business person, you know that comprehensive and complete data is the key to successful decision-making.
Now, Google wants to ensure that you have your data in one integrated report so that you can get a clearer picture of your site’s performance. The company is planning a move to combine the data on Google search console and Google Analytics into one report.
With this new move, you will be able to see your performance on these two platforms from either of them. You can do that by enabling search console data sharing.
If you have been using these two Google platforms, keep your email notifications on as Google has been sending details of these planned updates to its users. What should you expect as you wait for these changes?
#digitalmarketing: Google Rolls Out 4 More Attributes to Google My Business
If you run a business right now, making your services available online is one of those things you must do. Google knows this. The company has now come up with four ‘online’ Google my business attributes. These include online classes, online care, online estimates, and online appointment.
Businesses offering medical, fitness, and education services are some of the businesses that can benefit from these attributes. Update your Google My Business to gain from these attributes.
