Over the years, Google has become the premier search tool on the internet. With the constant improvements and updates to enhance quality of information, it holds the all-round reputation for generating the most relevant results.
To help users quickly and easily find the information that they are looking for, Google has now rolled out a new format of the search results page.
“The amount and format of information available on the web has changed drastically—from the proliferation of images and video, to the availability of 3D objects you can now view in AR.” says Google.
WHAT ARE THE NEW UPDATES?
- The new version features the name of the website and its icon at the top of the results card to help anchor each result, allowing you to more easily scan the page of results and decide what to explore next.
- When a user will search for a product or service, he will see a bolded ad label at the top of the card alongside the web address.
- From buying movie tickets to playing podcasts—this new design adds more action buttons and helpful previews to search results cards.
- Users will get a better sense of the web page’s content with clear attribution back to the source.
As per the announcement, the redesign is coming first to mobile and will be rolling out over the next few days.
