Google doesn’t really conform its algorithm updates. However at SMX Advanced, Google’s Gary Ilyes said that if there is any major/significant algorithm change, they will communicate. We know Google updates regularly and with so many updates going on it’s difficult to confirm each on of them. But most of these don’t have much impact on results. He said there were two updates happening every day for the past few days.
For all significant updates like mobile-first, Google will confirm. However do not expect any confirmation on small algorithm updates.
