Online shopping- undoubtedly, we all love to indulge in it. But, have you ever been searching for a product and wanted to shop among a whole lot of brands and labels? And this entire process of moving from one ecommerce website to another can get a bit clunky. So, to ease up the hassle- Google is giving its Shopping destination a revamp and introducing a universal cart across its platform of Services, including Search, Shopping, Images and even YouTube.

Objective: To Deliver An Out Of The Box Shopping Experience

Google is expanding shopping ads and introducing brand new features to help advertisers give ‘out of the box’ shopping experience to all shopaholic people.

You’d be glad to know that Shopping ads are now available in over 50 new markets, and 95 markets in all. Thus, to make the most out of its greater availability, Google Ads is rolling out the following features.

Multi-Country Feeds

Advertisers can reach out to more holiday shoppers all-round the globe with multi-country feeds. These allow for easy targeting of multiple countries that share the same language.

For example, if you upload product details in English for the United States, those products may be automatically available to appear in other English-speaking countries.

Advertisers will have to set their own shipping and location targeting for multi-country feeds. This is in order to ensure ads are only shown to target audience who can buy the products.

Automated Feeds

With the usage of automated feeds, retailers can create product feeds with much ease and flexibility. These allow Google Merchant Center to crawl a website’s structured data to create a feed out of the product information.

New Merchant Center Experience

Now the Google Merchant Center has been upgraded with additional insights, easier navigation, and more straightforward workflows. With this new interface, advertisers can manage products more effectively and learn about effective ways to promote and sell those products.

Advertisers Can Now Access Surfaces Across Google: Google says that advertisers can now access ‘surfaces across Google’ via the new Merchant Center interface. Surfaces across Google allows products to appear and be shown in rich snippets and product annotations in Google Images for free.

Please Note: Surfaces across Google is currently available in the US and India, but will be become available to many more countries before the closing of this year.
