Google has announced to launch a newly design web image search feature on Google.com. This feature would allow users to search web images more quickly and easily. Google informed that the changes have been made after the feedback from users and webmasters.
Now users would able to flip images by just using their keyboards, which means you would not need to open images in different tabs and windows. In this redesigned image search, the metadata of the image would be visible right under the image in the search results. The information related to images like, title of the page hosting the image, the image size and the domain name it comes from would be visible next to the image.
Presently on Google image search, the images open in the foreground of the page and the image source page opens in the background, but now the source page will no longer load up in the background of the picture. This feature would definitely increase the speed of image search process. It would also reduce the load on the source websites servers. Apart from it, the domain name would also be clickable, Google has added a new button to visit the pages the image is hosted on. According to Google, it would also increase CTR (click-through rate) for the hosting websites.
This new image search is user-friendly and easy to operate. According to Google, they are going to launch it worldwide in coming few days. We hope that it would make Google image search more effective and efficient for the users.
