Google has announced the inclusion of two new features to the Change of Address tool inside Google Search Console. The new features include redirect validation for top five URLs of the domain being moved and a reminder on top of the moving domain as well destination domain inside Google Search Console.
Redirect validation: Redirect validation has been added for top five URLs of the domain being moved. The tool will help you view the redirect flow, confirm the flow, show examples and offer recommendation on problem redirects.
Reminder: Google will also show a reminder on top of the moving domain and destination domain inside Google Search Console. The reminder is a warning banner which might read “this site is currently moving to newdomaingoeshere.com.’’
