sensebotmd6894.jpgSenseBot is the latest search engine to hit the World wide web. However, this indeed is a smart move, like its claim “The Search Engine that finds sense in the heap of Web pages .”

SenseBot takes results of search engines like Google or Yahoo comprises them and gives you a concise digest on the topic of your query. The most significant and relevant aspects of the search results are blended together in the summary. The summary itself becomes the main result of your search. This approach is unique to SenseBot and is protected by Patent Pending.

“Here you can browse sample summaries that can give you a better idea of where SenseBot can be applicable. This page will be updated on an ongoing basis.

The queries are loosely grouped into the areas of search, although many queries would fit into more than one area. The criteria for the quality of the summaries is also loose, but generally consists of one or more of the following qualifications:

  1. the summary gives a good idea of the subject of the query;
  2. the summary gives a better idea of the subject of the query than the first page of results of the search engine (e.g., Google);
  3. the summary identifies good sources, heavy on content relevant to the subject, that can be further explored in depth;
  4. the summary is readable and coherent.”

Some popular samples are Paris Hilton jail, best vodka brands, best buys in hybrid cars.

The service is currently in Beta and does not score many points for aesthetics. In terms of functionality, it would be fairer if we gave them some more time. Click on Samples to know which kinds of queries fit SenseBot best.
