SEO professionals, web developers, and webmasters now have access to a new feature in the well-known website auditing tool Lighthouse. Google announced yesterday the addition of a new “SEO Audits” category to its extension. You will gain access to the new audit category through the “Options” button in extension.

This new feature provides a feedback on fundamental/basic SEO practices. It’s report checks the following:-

  • Titles & description
  • Descriptive anchor text
  • Whether the page can be crawled by Google
  • HTTP status code
  • UX- clear font sizes and plugins
  • Valid hreflang and ref=canonical tags
  • Offers suggestions for additional reports
